Skyview Middle School Library is hosting an ONLINE BOOK FAIR this year!
When: Nov. 9 – Nov. 22
Shop a large selection of books online, starting as low as $5/book. Books ship directly to your home. Shipping is free for purchases over $30, or $4.99 for orders less than $30. A portion of the proceeds go to support your school library.
Do you enjoy reading? Do you like to compete? We’d like to invite any student who is interested to participate in the Battle of the Books. Please sign up on the sheet by the office.

Just because you’re learning remotely, doesn’t mean that you don’t have access to the library. You can browse the Skyview collection online, place a hold and pick books up at Skyview. Watch this video to learn how!
Books can be picked up on scheduled days (Wednesdays), or contact Mrs. Miller the librarian, at mmiller2@kpbsd.k12.ak.us to make an appointment for pick-up.

Reading hasn’t been cancelled!! You just have to be a little more resourceful about it right now. This year you will be using the Skyview Library Catalog to search for books online. Every summer, SyncAudiobooks offers free audiobooks for teens. The great thing is, once you download it, it’s yours to keep! Books are available NOW, through July 29, 2020. Here’s how it works.

Another publisher has offered free audiobooks and eBooks during this time of learning from home. The books on this site are geared for ages 5-14, but they are sorted by age group. There are only a few books in this collection, but they are free. Follow the instructions on the link below, but in summary, add a book to your cart, select either the audiobook or eBook option (they will be free), check out (you will have to enter your address), and press the pay button. Make sure you have only the free books selected. Then you will get an e-mail with a link to the books. Enjoy.
